Meet the Team: Georgia

We Are Brands (WAB) would not be where we are today without the work of our amazing people! That’s why for us, it is important for their stories, their passion and experiences to be shared.

We interviewed the remarkable Georgia this week for you to get to know her! She’s done some amazing work over the years and we are extremely proud of her!

What’s your role at WAB?

I’m currently an E-commerce Manager. I’ve headed up countless projects to optimise the online customer journey in recent times.

How long have you been part of the WAB Team?

Since the end of 2016. July 2017 is when I moved into the HQ team!

Tell us about your career history at WAB?

So I started as a casual Retail Sales Assistant at Melbourne Central pop up store. I just want to know everything about Freddy and be part of the Freddy story. Within 6-8 months I asked Joel if there were any roles available at the WAB Headquarters (HQ). They created a Marketing Admin/Office All rounder role for me which worked well for them as they were slowly starting to grow. Over the years, I've worked on numerous projects including the CRM and Customer Loyalty Program and Email Marketing strategy. I have acquired so many different skills throughout my years at WAB. When you work at WAB, you are given the chance to make the role your own. You're given the freedom to be creative and put your ideas to the test. It's the perfect company for anyone who wants the chance to grow and have freedom to try new things.

I appreciate the variety in my role. I wouldn't know what I know today if it wasn't for WAB giving me the opportunity to work on so many varied projects. Expressing my interest in growing and evolving with the business has really paid off for me. I am so lucky that I have supportive mentors at WAB who facilitated that growth for me.

What are you passionate about?

Self development and self growth. All the other things I'm passionate about ties back to self development and self growth.

What does self-care mean to you? What do you like to do in your spare time?

Self-Development - I love to read about mindset, spirituality and psychology. I like to put what I learn into practice like the methodologies I've read about. It could even be trying supplements, foods and juicing. Health is a huge pillar for me. I like to learn about the nutrients in food. Travel is a passion of mine - travel, nature and art - it's my web of life.

What’s your proudest achievement?

On a personal level, my daughter, Nevaeah - I have so much more respect for mothers.

On a professional level, redesigning the entire website and executing the entire project. It was an amazing thing. It was also so nice to know that Kenneth even showcased it at the International Freddy conference. It's great that our ideas are taken on board and we get to execute them and that our young founders are proud of our achievements! They really value our input and I love that!

What's been your fondest memory at WAB?

Omg there are so many!! For me it's not one specific memory. it's the stuff we do every quarter and random activity based days we have as a team. It's the overall experiences that WAB provides for the entire team that positively impact on the culture at WAB. We've experienced Spanish cooking classes, going away to expos, work retreats, countless lunches and dinners... So many different things! We work hard but also enjoy and celebrate together as a team. Everyone has time for each other. The best part is that we all are able to get involved in different things as well. There is a strong and genuine team culture at WAB!

Why do you love working at WAB?

Management. I've never worked for a team of young, motivated, brilliant minds that value self development the same way I do. Our values totally align. It's nice to see even leaders in the business try to up-skill themselves. Also there is a work life balance and definitely compassion in the way our team approach everything.
